That's awesome, and those overpriced listings are really annoying.

UFO & Bigfoot for key words... classic! Nominee for "Most Sarcastic Ebay Auction of 2013", but the winner is "DB Cooper signed parachute"....:).... and it's not fake. Bravo!

That's one of our own board members who listed it, and truly one of the hobby good guys! Hi Rob.:)

Reminds me somewhat of a listing Scott Forrest (Runscott) put on ebay ten years or so ago. It was a hand drawn T206 (I think) and caused quite a chuckle.

Scott: Do you still have the scan?

Very funny.

The problem of overpricing extends well beyond Old Judges, though.

If Rob wants a drunk guy to buy his card, he should have his listing end late night Friday and Saturday (2am would work)...that's when all the usual reprint listings end....capitalizing on/annoying the drunks.

The only thing missing is the Make an Offer feature so that I can give a ridiculously low ball offer that would do nothing but insult you with my offer.

The only ways to make that picture better would be either

Cropping it so maybe only one corner is visible, maybe with the card on an angle?

Or a scan or cell phone photo that's not cropped at all so it's like looking at the card from across the room.

Great listing!

I just offered $1200 to end the auction early

Thanks guys. Out of frustration my hope was to shame the shameless but I'm sure that's a futile effort. At least I got to throw a few darts at them.

Rob M. (ramram)

P.S. Keep in mind, if you happen to be drunk I can make sure your shipment arrives before you sober up. If you're a fool, I will promise to mail it as soon as I finish cleaning out my Grandma's attic. If you're a drunk fool, never mind as I'm sure somebody else already has your money. :-)

Rob is a great guy, and a passionate collector of the kind of cool stuff that many don't appreciate. I completely get this listing - funny and appropriate.

Steve, I don't remember what exactly I put up on ebay, but I do remember doing it, and a few other board members' similar efforts. Back then every two-bit scammer from Ohio or Kentucky wanted to get into our pockets. Still haven't figured out why so many of them accumulated in that area

For years a lot of fakes and counterfeits have come from Ohio. It's hard to say why unless there were a few very prolific criminals there (which there probably is/was)..

This seller is so resistant to over the top offers. I, however, think that I have discovered a possible loophole that he can not squirm out from underneath. I offered him his $999 BIN amount, and then demanded that he accept $501 for shipping.

Cross my fingers...hope this works out.

Fagan doesn't come up too often :) nice card, too bad it's not really for sale.

Most people avoid looking at BINs because of stuff like this, but there are some real bargains out there if you're patient. I've been watching the link below for awhile to see how long it takes to sell... I personally think it's worth a bit more then the price:

Do you sell Young Judge cards as well? I worry about the longevity of the old ones.

Still waiting for an answer.

Nice Q & A in the newer listing......c'mon Frank.....it's one of the newer old judges, from the original old judge series ....... (and it might not be, I just made that up)

Nice Q & A in the newer listing

The free shipping was making it tempting, but I guess there is a $25 charge if you want it shipped in an envelope.:D
