Seller has Rare Tough SP Green in Baseball in the title. Then has a picture of a Ron Fairly that clearly says Bottom of Baseball is White on the PSA holder. Also has a close up picture of the BB on back that clearly has no green.

I message the seller and ask if they accidently put the wrong picture up. This was the seller response. LOL

no
it has green in the ball
but not have been enough for PSA to label at it that way

Looks like someone took a highlighter and outlined the bottom black outline of the ball.
Yeah, a blacklight here test is needed.

This is the ultra rare, variation of the variation white ball, with the too little green to be noticed and graded as such by PSA. Thank goodness the seller has picked up on this variation ( very astute ), and is willing to part with such a rare card.

PSA started this nonsense. That green defect exists on many 61 cards

Wow, I should go through my 61s and see if I have a few just slightly out of register. I Probably have lots of them, it's really common.

I'm still not sure about the green in ball stuff, but the Ebay guy is way off.

Depends on your definition of common. I looked through at least 15,000 by now and have only found 5 that had green in the BB. Any body have better luck than me?

I sold 4 on eBay in the $20-$40 range and still have a #253 Sammy Taylor with some Green in BB left.

It can be found with the entire bottom of the ball in green, or just a speck. And PSA has graded his cards with very little green as a variation. They are scarce but not rare. I have other 61 cards with the same defect, but as far as I know they have only recognized the Fairly. Why in the world they decided to make this mundane print defect a variation is a mystery to me. Maybe the submitter was a big customer.

The ones like the fairly shown in the post right after yours might be hard to find, but the one on Ebay isn't one. It's just bad registration. And that's what's common.
