There are many vintage "cards" whose image(s) originate from a common photo...yet some can be beautiful...while others not so much.

Show your cards whose image comes from a common image...yet the results are like jekyll...and hyde!!!!

To me this Dots Miller CJ is a beauty...but I've never liked the other version depicted here on this Dockman.

I don't have scans of mine available, but the e90 Oakes is the same as the T206 and the e90 is one of my favorite poses I own, the T206 version however is run of the mill for the set

I no longer own the postcard, but I love the image of it there much more so than on the E90-3....

The Eclipse image is growing on me, but I still think it's ugly compared to the original.

Thanks Jim. Wouldn't mind getting that E106 version of the Oakes. Last time I checked, I don't have a card with a player on the Pittsburgh Rebels, wouldn't mind getting the guy the team was named after! I do have an Orie Kerlin autograph, pretty obscure player from that team.

Similar poses, but definitely not from the same photo...you can see the bat is above his waist in one and below in the other.

In a similar vein these 2 cards, with their associated poses from E92 Croft's Cocoa, happen to be very popular and were used in quite a few sets. I am not saying these were the original cards used for all others, by any means. Only making a mention of a few ubiquitous poses ....I think the OP knows a bit about ole Big Glove Miller......

For the record, the original picture they used for the big glove Miller, didn't have a big glove. October 22,1909 newspaper. Some card "artist" took some creative liberties with the pose
