My father bought this ticket in a Leland's auction in 1991. When he did, there was word that there were only three known tickets to the 1903 series, and one of them is at the Hall of Fame. I don't know if that's true, but I do know that this is a big ticket item.

My father has asked me some questions and I don't have great answers so I'm going to put them here.

Should he get this authenticated/slabbed? If he wanted to sell, should he go back to Leland's, to REA, or to...? Anybody have any opinions as to what this might sell for at auction these days?

Thanks in advance for any and all opinions.

Yeah, I realized and fixed that. It also said "25 dollars paypal will ship it."

That is certainly not true of this ticket!

I have no opinion, but in reference to the writing on back, I thought it was referred to as the "World's" Series. Plural. But that's not to say that it wasnt written at a later date either. So ??

I have always wondered when the writing was added. It is quite old itself, and the date was written on the front, seemingly in the same hand/pen. It appears the creasing happened after the writing, so...?

I have the original Leland's catalog listing that states that only three were known. I know the HOF has one, and I've read about a full ticket that sold at auction in 2004.

Anyone know of any others?

Leland's has auctioned off at least two other (assuming this one wasn't written on/damaged since purchase) tickets:

So, if the Hall of Fame has one, that would make this one of at least 4.

I'm not sure PSA will authenticate it due to no date on the ticket or any identifying marks.

I also found this link to a ticket from game 7, which would bring the number to at least 5.
