We're a week away from Seattle's (& the Pacific Northwest's) best vintage show. Ten miles north of downtown Seattle in Shoreline, one block off the I-5 (Exit 176). November 2nd (9-5) & 3rd (9-3) at Meridian Park School (175th and Meridian) I'll look forward to seeing the regulars, some of which post or lurk here :). Always a fun show for those who make the effort from Oregon, Canada and Eastern / Southern Washington. .. Look forward to seeing the regulars as well as the irregulars...

Not too sure where I fall on the Macrae scale of regularity, but I'll be at the show! Hey, Mark, bring me a Cohen Zeenut, would you please?

If you haven't been to this show before, make the trip. It's easy to find, and it's not your run-of-the-mill show.

Last time, I got a dozen 1911 t212's.

I am irregular in many ways, regular in others.
What I do try to regularly attend is this cool bi-annual card show!

This is always fun, lots of good guys, great card selection too!

So count me in!
Dave F, I'll be emailing for my room reservation :)

Is there an afterhours gathering being discussed?

Looking forward to it. I will be popping my dealer cherry and sharing a table with a buddy across from Zeenut guru Andrew Jerome. Would love to put more Net54 faces with names - stop by and say hi.

^Luke... I am planning on Attending w/ Dave F. above, so it sounds like when the doors open on Saturday :p and probably for a short stay Sunday on my way back home.

Dave, the days keep getting away from me...will contact you soon. Work is winning the battle for my attention:mad:

I'm very much looking fwd to it, and meeting some more locals!

I could swear you're almost smiling in that photo. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it down to Seattle, as we're up on the Coast this weekend.

Say hi to everyone for me,

Max

New to pre-war but not to cards. I'm really enjoying the board and the two cards I've picked up so far. My dad and I are working on mid-grade T206 HOFs so we'll be around tomorrow to see what we can find. This will be my first WSSCA show so I'm pretty excited to look through the cards and meet the community.

Rob A - Met you last month at the Kent postcard show (was with my dad). Thanks for the good conversation. We'll be by to say hello.

Enjoyed my three hours at the twice-a-year Washington State Sports Collectors Association show today. Early on, attendees experienced a power outage due to the wind and rain. Fortunately, the generator(s) kicked in immediately providing light to 90% of the showroom.

If you are in the area, catch this show tomorrow (Sunday). You'll find an excellent selection of old major (American, National and PCL) and minor league (all others excluding the PCL) baseball cards (and associated memorabilia) from area and out of state dealers. And the conversation is top-notch.

The WSSCA guys put on a fine show and the dealers are the best!

Yeah, if anyone is on fence about coming tomorrow, do your best to make it. The weather today opened up a golden opportunity for you and there's still some amazing stuff left to be had.

Thank you to all who contribute to making this show top notch. Sorry I won't be able to make it back on Sunday, but I had a wonderful time Saturday morning. I got some fine old cards, and visited with some fine people.

another great show with great people. We survived a wind storm; power outage; yoga; and another bout with the BIG BAMBOO. thanks everyone!

I had a great time and met some really great guys (including a few board members). Picked up a nice handful of T205's and saw some amazing pieces. I definitely have a new found respect for dealers and all the work that goes into a show.

Despite what looked like a lower than usual attendance figure (nasty weather on Saturday, and a Seahawks game on Sunday), this show continues to be the highlight of my collecting year...June and November are reserved on the Ol' Familytoad Calendar. The 200 mile drive is well worth it!

This year, I got some real nice cards on Saturday.
I was dealt a lot of really bad cards later that night at the Tulalip Casino:eek: :Dwhich cut into the Sunday budget but it was so much fun talking with collectors & dealers. At this show, they are often collectors disguised as dealers :)

Nice to finally meet young board members like Conor and Brian (Python Factory) , visit with still young but WSSCA vets Rob & Andrew and "my age" guys like Mark & Rick :D
I missed Larry Moe and a couple of the others that responded above who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting. To me, the social scene trumps the baseball cards...well almost :)

I'll post my pickups when I scan them later this week, but I wanted to say Thank You to all that make this show so fun!

Especially large thanks to my host Dave F. , the world famous Swedish Humorist and Popcorn enthusiast. I wouldn't have it any other way!
