No

But Davies went to Boston University and I have some stuff of his from when he was at College including some signed banquet menu programs etc. Cool item! I bet it was because he was a Boston College standout that his supporters had a "day" for him when he made the majors.

Cool item!

Rhys

Yes I read an article about the day and Davies played for Phila. but was a local hero and so fans had "Day" for his first pro game in Boston..Chick quit baseball because Connie Mack would not give him a raise... so he Left baseball and was a successful Chemist and then Later John Mcgraw recruited him and he came back to play on championship team for The Giants.. Good story. Never saw another come up and hope someone here has..

On the left lapel of your suit or coat ...thought I would clear that up quickly before you hurt yourself or someone else looking..:D

I collect similar type things and would peg that at about $100-$200 depending on who is bidding. Of course anything can happen at auction but that would be my estimate...maybe even up to $250....which is about what I paid for this..

Leon: Thank you for the Information Coming into this I would have pegged this in the $200 to $500 range and appreciate your info. The only other "Buttonhole" tag From a Player day I have is from Matty day. I have seen multiple examples of this over the Years but any others I came across were one offs. Given the disposable nature of these they have to be Rare dose not suprise me that this is right up your alley.:)

Dan has a Dennison grommet. Jonathan's appears to be Dennison also. Leon, can't make yours out?

I don't want to dig it out of hiding, if I even have it here? But I think it too is a Dennison.

Wow. How much is the Matty worth? It has to be rare.
