This tough card was clearly trimmed, but it probably was trimmed by its original owner...it has the same dimensions of a T206...does anyone else have tough cards that were trimmed to look like something else and not done deceitfully?

Here are four E90-1 cards that I acquired from the Frank Nagy collection that were deemed trimmed.

I seem to remember years ago reading an article where some old time collectors trimmed caramel cards to fit in to the T206 holders or sheets, never thinking that some day they would greatly diminsh the value. They were just interested in storing their cards for display and weren't value conscious. My how things have changed! I believe Frank Nagy was one of them.

About ten years ago Lew Lipset had an auction featuring the collection of Don McPherson, a long time collector who came up with the listing (with Buck Barker's assistance) of the players in the all the Zeenut issues that had major league careers. There were group lots of sets and near sets of many of the smaller size 'E' caramel issues, and most of these cards, which were in pretty nice shape, had been trimmed on top, bottom or both to fit into sleeves designed for tobacco cards.
