Brock, is that the Life magazine on Ebay right now? I'm not so sure about the Mantle on that one.

From the initial scan there was no way to opine on that Maris.

I would say the Mantle was added later.. it is a completely different writing tool and shaky as hell. As it stands alone, the Maris looks good by the scan to me. Not sure if Maris is traced/copied by the scan... which is a problem in authenticating by a scan alone(mentioned many times on here); need it in hand.

It was the magazine. I thought the maris looked weird likely slowly written.
