What makes you think it's a shill bid, Kevin? I'm not seeing it. Dave:)

well, the seller doesn't have anything really in the realm of t206/tabacco anything.

this particular bidder has 21% of his 14 bids with this seller and has bid on both the collins card and the mitchel card.

the mitchel bid to me, really seems like a high amount for someone to pay and the 1500 for the collins with 3 days left also seems like a lot.

if the buyer really wanted one, they could easily buy it now on one that is listed for 200.00. why bid 250 on this exact mitchel card?

it just doesn't add up to me.

I see your point, there are some fishy aspects.

I don't think it is. The reason being that my son picked several of the cards at Nats and the same guy that is bidding on this card has bid on my sons cards. He has also made offers on several of the cards that my son has BIN. This guy is really in love with these cards for some reason. My son is just worried the buyer want pay.

Speaking of fishy, how do bidders with 39 48 and 67 bid retractions in 6 months get to keep doing their thing?

its certianly possible. i didn't think i would like them at first.

HOWEVER....i bought 8 unopened boxes(an unopened case and 3 stragglers from a case break with no HOF opened. freaking sweet.) today to go with my other 2 unopened boxes....so :o

i figured they would be good trade bait/investment and the number of boxes is pretty low. right now the boxes are virtually impossible to find at a reasonable price. distributors and retailers are bone dry.

i question the taste though. why two cards from this one guy. expecially when one is more expensive than 40 percent of the others of similiar nature.

a simple search yields dozens of cheaper alternatives for someone to get their feet wet with or to get a quick one or two collectables, other than the mitchell.

oh well. i guess we will never know for sure right?

it was really odd though.

Bid retractions can be a little misleading since retracting "offers" on BIN cards count as retractions. I often make offers on cards and if I don't hear back in 24 hours I will cancel the offer. Just don't like leaving them out there 48 hours without a reply.
