I am currently going through a box of old autographs (chills up and down my back repeatedly) but this letter stands out for some reason. Maybe it is the fact that the league president responded to a fan with a hand written letter, maybe it is due to the topic discussed. In my opinion a piece of history. I have copied what I think it says in case you can't read the scan.

"Oct 17-65'
Dear Tom,
I'm enclosing two index cards I've autographed for you. I see no immediate prospects for inter league play. Most of the National League Clubs do not favor it because we draw so well between our own clubs in a close race. I have seen so many exciting games in my many years of baseball I can't recall the one which was most exciting.
Sincerely,
Warren Giles Pres."

That is pretty cool! It's hard to imagine someone today who is of Warren Giles stature would write a personal letter to a fan.
Baseball was magical... that's why I love vintage cards and old memorabilia...
Thanks for sharing this.
