In the upcoming Heritage auction, there are a slew of E98's from the Black Swamp find, which have been graded by SGC.

I thought the whole find had been graded by PSA at the time of the find.

Does anyone know why these have been graded by SGC now? Are these additional cards? Did Heritage decide to cross over some of the PSA cards to SGC holders?

Any info on these would be appreciated....

I wonder is SGC won some of them in the first auction with the idea of crossing them over themselves and getting their slabs in on the story and un-doing the PSA exclusive.

I'm puzzled by this as well. I agree that they probably bought the cards from the last sale...broke out and reslabbed. But still curious

Heritage has some bidders that prefer PSA and others that prefer SGC, so we had some of the Black Swamp sets reviewed and crossed over. This is the first offering of SGC graded cards from the collection as well as the finest available set of SGC cards we could put together. The only exception is the Gem Mint SGC 98 Ty Cobb, which may be offered for direct sale at a later date.

Pete- safe to say, no telling what the Cobb will bring. This series is not my favorite at all, but this card could go nuts....

I assume that this means that one of the PSA 9 Cobb's was bumped up to a SGC 98 Gem Mint.
