I spent some time today researching the same group of photos and the seller and here is a little hint for you. In the Vermont find where the glass negs for this and other N172 or none card shots were found never had any advertising logos on top ie. (PH MAYO & bros) ect. all that is added on in later copies.

Are they type 2,3,4,5,or 3845 photos I don't know.

Someone payed alot for some photos seller has sold before. And seemed OK with it.

I was going to wait untill auction was over to ask some more questions about the same grouping. Becouse someone may know something and wanted to get a deal.

Buyer be ware as always. I hope you get more feedback than just me. John

Based on the title of this thread, am I the only one who thought we weren't talking about cards.

I wouldn't touch either one of them.

The second one looks good, only one problem - the idiot who created this 'aged' the actual print before gluing it to a period mount. Why would the edges of the print be worn if it was protected by a mount? Stupid forger.
