Isn't just being a Cubs Fan a FAIL?

Funny, yes. But that's kids stuff. About ten years ago, the Cubs were a handful of outs from winning the NL Pennant and going to the World Series. Then, on a high fly ball that was approaching the stands, a Cubs "fan" reached into the Cubs outfielder's glove, knocked the ball out of the outfielder's glove and shoved the ball to the ground, to prevent the out, and ensure that the opposing team then run up eight runs to defeat the Cubs in that game and provide the momentum to defeat the Cubs the next game too defeating the Cubs in the NL Championship.

On top of that, when asked, most Cubs "fans" say "heck, any Cubs fan would do the same thing,"

Sure, who wouldn't want to NOT catch an $8 ball instead of going to the World Series?

Bartman had nothing to do with the Cubs not going to the World Series, he was a scapegoat. If the ball was an extra 6" into the stands the outcome would have been the same and no one would have said the Cubs lost because of a foul ball.

It's the Cubs.
They weren't going to the World Series.
