That is a great looking card. I am sure there has to be a wrinkle or something that can't be seen...nice card.

One of the finest cards I have ever seen that was graded a 4!!!:)

That series is not my thing but if it was I would be very aggressive to add it to my other cards I own (but at a reasonable price).

Honestly, out of the last 5 or 6 SGC graded cards I've received from various auctions, I thought SGC was pretty harsh on their grade. Could they be getting tougher? It's hard to say with such a limited sample. Needless to say, I've been pleased with recently graded cards from SGC.

Hmmmmm.....the back looks funny to me. Just sayin'. Maybe it's the scan, but it looks almost too white.

I agree, the back looks particularly white. That said, what could that mean?

Almost guaranteed that there is a surface crease on the card.... Have received several 50s on otherwise NRMT examples of cards....

The seller said there weren't any creases. I don't see how this could be a 4 in this case.

ok now here is the BIG question.........

IF you were the lucky winner of this card, and lets just say you paid $17k for it or about that.

Would you crack it and re-submit???????????????

I'd resubmit this one if I owned it.... probably worth the risk for a bump... its a nice nice card!

I would NOT buy it for this price (9000$ so far) I would simply wait for one already graded say a 7 and pay the full price for that example.

There is something weird about this card been graded a 4 I can't believe the graders would have made such a BAD call on this card!!! I would call SGC and give them the serial number and ask what kept this card from grading higher.

a 7 huh?!?! That'll set you back beaucoup bucks...not just a little!!! IT's a nice card...but there are cards all over the place that present better than their grade...this is just another example...just happens to be a desirable cj jackson.

Or a nice looking 5 or 6 I said a 7 because to me this looks like a 7...I can see nothing wrong with this card...and that makes me worried!!!

Why don't you try reading the sellers description, he addresses the reason for a lower grade. Or are you just fixated on the $$ aspect? Do you have an uncle named Bruce??

You can see a crease in the red by his right shoulder.

Id have bought this card in a heartbeat for $9k...$11k is a steal considering the last sgc 4 went for $12,600 and a sgc 3 went for 10k both in 2013 via ebay.

Im guessing this card was glued/attatched to an album and left there for 98 years leaving us the beauty of an example that we have. CJs color is very fickle and yes the brightness stands out, but cards that were never in boxes and stored away have maintained these qualities. With that said, bleach and a razor have similar effects on CJs, and soaking definitely brings out color.

You can see the one area very clearly near the 'p' in "cou-pon" and the seller alludes to another area, possibly opposites of this as there is small ink loss in the J of Joe. I wonder if anything shows under a black light on the back. Nice card, buyer got a great deal probably b/c 2 buyers were removed from the mix so recently. Fairly centered, beautiful image and as for the tilt...if you collect CJs you better get used to them as most are tilted...very nice card.

I have always believed who submits the card can be a 2 number swing with the grading companies. That might account for the four.
