Assuming the winner of the REA 1951 Topps Magic lot was after the two packs, I would be interested in rest of the album but especially the 5C wrapper. Those packs are probably the only ones to survive...they weren't cheap, but congrats !! Send me a PM

Congrats to whoever won it! How do you price a 5 cent pack never seen before?

Congrats to the winner as well – that 5-cent pack is a one of a kind sample. To the best of my knowledge the 51’s were never issued in a 5-cent pack. I acquired a 5-cent wrapper for the 1951 set about 20 years ago from an individual who acquired the wrapper directly from Woody Gelman. For years that individual told others in the hobby that the wrapper was from an unopened pack he had opened - but that was not true. Similar to the scan of the 5-cent wrapper in the REA auction, my wrapper exhibits the same toning/glue staining which is found on many Topps mock-ups and artwork. Here is a scan of my 51 5-cent wrapper.

I actually owned a two card 1951 topped panel.
I think I bought it in a Lelands auction with two
1951 Topps Ringside Panels. When I started to
sell off my boxing cards I listed it on eBay and
Some guy in the military bought it. I thought
It was part of sheet as much wasnt known
about 2 card packs. So, some had to be distributed
I was aware of Mike's wrapper prior to the auction
Maybe Rob should have contacted some football
collectors too.

Hi Guys,

Don't mean to intrude in the '51 wrapper conversation, but I've got 7 of the raw cards that I've had since the 1950's if anyone is interested.
1 Poor and the other 6 probably good to excellent. If anyone is interested email jct43@embarqmail.com for scans. They are:
#25, Betts, #34 Townsend, #37 Marlow, #48 Young, #54 Gregory, #57 Pujo,
and #71 Dudeck.

Regards,
Charlie
