One time, I was looking at someone's collection in a forum I can't remember. The collector had these vintage baseball mascot banks and one was a Yankees Uncle Sam bank. It might have been the first time I had seen Uncle Sam portrayed as a Yankees Mascot with the exception of various pennants. Of course, I have never seen it again.

Does anyone know what those banks were and could share some information on them? Also, if anyone has pictures of them, especially the Yankees Uncle Sam, I would be grateful.

Thank you,

Mike

Probably Gibbs-Conner. I know of at least 5 variations. Will try to post some images when time allows...

Maybe it was one of these?

If you are interested, keep checking Ebay and Inside The Park Collectibles. Huggins & Scott seems to get them with frequency as well (perhaps a recurring consignor). Chances are that one will turn up in the next few months.

I would call those "Gibbs-Conners" (quotation marks intentional).
