I don't buy many graded cards but I thought it would be fun to get every Topps Dodgers team card in a psa9. I'm working on the 60's right now with the exception of one - 1978.

This auction just ended a couple minutes ago on ebay.

It went from $66 to $137.50 in the final 10 sec.! I thought my $75 bid with under 10sec to go was gonna hold up, boy was I wrong - WOW!

This must be a super hard '78 topps psa9 to find for set registry collectors...people were clamoring all over it! I have it on my saved searches in ebay and it was the first I've seen in about a year. If anyone ever sees one for sale on one of the consignment auction sites and remember me, let me know. I never browse those sites, thanks!

Wow, for a 78! Glad I don't chase graded cards!

Yeah, I could never spend that much for some plastic. I'm actually glad my $75 bid didn't take it, I woulda had buyer's remorse. I may have to settle for a psa8 in this instance.

That card is not really that low pop of a card....37 9s and 8 10s. PWCC auctions typically provides it's consignors strong results (?)....this likely influenced the result as much as the fact that a 9 has not been listed for a while

That seems a little high for the pop to me as well. I am working on the 78T (1st year I collected) Tigers Team Set in a PSA 9 and was watching several cards. Decided to shoot for the Tigers Team Card (pop 55) and Vern Ruhle (the lowest pop card at 14). Got the Tigers Team for $22.50. Got a lesson on the Ruhle...it was at $17 with about 15 seconds left. I bid about $34..the numbers flashed a lot and it ended at $202! I'm going to have to start looking for nice raw ones to submit. If I had a clue I could have picked up more of the graded ones I need at decent prices.
