Hi all. I need some help determining the value of an item I know nothing about. My wife got this hat signed by 4 former All American Girls Professional Baseball League players many years ago. We came across it recently when packing for a move and decided to try and sell it. Does anyone have any idea a value range for this item? I figure ebay would be the best avenue to sell it unless someone knows a better way for this type item.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is signed:

Marge Wenzell
South Bend Blue Sox
1945-1953
H.O.F. 11.88

Pepper Paire Davis
Racine Belles
All American Baseball
Catcher 1944/53

Lefty Hohlmayer
Kenosha Comets
1946-1951

Dottie Kamenshek
Rockford Peaches
1943-53

I would estimate it at between $250-350, depending on the auction. It should be on the higher end in a general memorabilia auction rather than a strictly sports offering. The inscriptions add interest, and it displays nicely. I believe two are recently deceased also.

Thanks for the input. I NEVER would have imagined it would bring that kind of money. I would have been happy at a low percentage of that. If anyone can direct me to an appropriate auction setting I would appreciate it. I guess I would also accept an offer through this board's members if anyone was so inclined to do so (to avoid the wait and uncertainty).
I will post on the B/S/T if someone wants me to do so, so we go through the proper channels.

I would be a little more conservative at around $50-100. A bat signed by the same 4 plus 8 more recently sold for $170. It is a really nice looking item.

I went ahead and posted it on the B/S/T if anyone wants to make an offer rather than going through the auction process.
Thanks!

You may be right. Interest may have peaked a few years ago. A ball signed by the same 4 sold for around $250. That was prior to the passing of Dottie and Pepper. More people collect balls, but I think this displays better. :)
