Leon, that's just another of the plethora of near-mint T206's that have popped up over the last ten years after spending 90+ years in various shoeboxes.

If it was an AMERICAN BEAUTY, it would be "fat". But, it's a SWEET CAP, so it is "emaciated" :)

Serious question....Are you saying that Cobb is trimmed? Maybe it's the scan or my screen, but it looks good to me. Dave
ps For 10K a back scan would be nice!

Yes, the borders appear to be thin..I would assume the back is nice. If this was an 8 in one of the legit TPG holders it would be worth much more than the opener.

Looks funny. Although if some liposuction was performed by a good surgeon then it would explain the weight loss? :D

Funny how he boasts GAI's "early stages" as if that is a good thing. If I was to trust anything by them, it would be recently graded stuff.

If that Cobb is trimmed, then the Gretzgy Wags could be......oh wait.:D:Dave

My initial gut feeling was trimmed, but looking close it seems snug against the the insert. I'm still going to say trimmed. You don't keep a $20k+ card in a GAI holder and try to sell it on eBay unless something is amiss.

Regardless of the grade or who graded it... I think I'd have a hard time spending $10K on a card from someone with less than 100 feedback...

Maybe a more talented card doctor could get it into a legit holder. There's still a chance for this Cobb to hit registry status!

Looks trimmed to me...BUT...T206's do vary quite a bit in size...so size alone isn't a determining factor. Fact it's in old GAI holder...combined w/sharpness, size I'd presume trimmed...def more likely trimmed than not!!!! Not worth risk at such a high price!

Yeah, I would like to see the back. Rooky question here, but could it have come out of a sheet that someone cut perfectly? I haven't seen many T206s that are that perfectly centered?

If it wasn't trimmed it would be sleeping in a different tomb.

Just eyeballing this card it does seem to be a fraction off. The only way I'd agree to laying down 10K+ on this particular card would be if the seller would agree to send the card to PSA for crossover grading. If the card graded a 7.5 or better, I'd pay the cost of grading. The current (April/2013) SMR value of a 7 is $5000 and an 8 is valued at $17000.

Having said that, I think I'm dreaming in Technicolor expecting a dealer to agree to such terms since he'd have to foot the bill for an unsuccessful grade.
