Diehard Nashville fan or am I missing something?

I have no idea what the final price tag will be, but I think "going for so much" might be misleading as $575 was the opening bid and there is only 1 bidder so far (not me, I assure you). Looks to me like the seller didn't want to take a chance on attracting the interest of 2 die-hard Vols fans to drive up the price, and decided to go fishing for just 1 who would bite.

Being from Nashville, I would love to have something like this, or even a high-quality reproduction or high-res scan of it. Looks like this one was out of my price range right out the gate though.

"so much" is not misleading, that's the truth ruth......$600 or maybe more is high for a minor league or town ball team photo.

As a comparison this is what they usually go for:

I thought maybe there was a pro player on there I'm unaware of.

Maybe I should check Baseball Reference.

Might seem high to most but if you collect baseball from your state probably not. I know I would pay more for minor league teams from my state from that era. Especially with that many guys who made it to the majors.

Nashville is a heck of a lot better than your run of the mill Minor League Franchise, let alone a semi-Pro or town team. If it were mine I would ask between $550-$650 for it.

By my comment of "going for so much" being misleading, I meant that when I read that before clicking over to the listing, I thought it was going to be something that was getting bid up to astronomical levels, two bidders duking it out, something with lots of bid activity, etc., which isn't what is happening. The actual situation though is that someone started an auction with the equivalent of a Buy It Now price, probably only expecting to get 1 bid, but leaving it open to the possibility of someone upping it even more. If it hadn't gotten a bid this time around, I'm sure it would have shown up again with a lower starting price (which is actually what I was hoping for, but alas).

Sorry, should have been clearer.
