As I was researching tobacco packaging and printing, I ran across what appears to be a forum, with a thread that has an amazing collection of 19th century ball player images. I don't belong to any other forums other than this one, so Leon, if this is wrong of me to post this link, please delete the thread. I just thought many board members would enjoy looking at these images. For all I know, the person who posted these may be a board member, or someone well known to hobby veterans.

I did not know if this was "unethical", or wrong in any way; I just thought the collection was filled with beautiful eye candy :) If this is out of line in any way, again, please delete the thread.

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing, Clayton.

Linking the site with the pics doesn't seem unethical at all, but more like an obligation to share once you found them.

I love the old pics and man would it be great to be able to watch the greats of that era play ball...what a treat that would be. Field of Dreams-eque.

+1. That's why we are here. To share our love of the game and it's memories.

The photo of Buck Ewing standing by that gate is beautiful. Very cool action shots of Amos Rusie. Thanks for posting that Clayton!

Btw, those Gilbert and Bacon cabinets are of Tyng not Ferguson.

The one that stuck out with me is the Cap Anson action shot. Double decker bleachers in the background yet he still is playing first base with no glove.

Oh and the one with Cy Young warming up out in the middle of the woods (or so it seems)

Thanks for finding the site Clayton.....:)

Incredible photos. Thanks for sharing. There is also another gallery in under the "You also might like..." heading that has a lot of T206-era images. Great stuff!

Thanks for sharing that link. Two of my many faves are the Keelers showing bunt and the Ross Barnes pose.
