Looking for help putting this one to rest. I didn't feel like any of the guys in this tintype were Harry Wright. Was this another example of a "sorta looks like" ID or was it in fact Harry Wright?

While the two guys do look an awful lot like McVey and Wright I'm always wary of claims like this. More than a few bidders were willing to take the gamble.

Count me in on the wary side too. (which means it's probably him)

I was waiting for that link to be posted here. Did anyone from the board win this one? I' m also weary of player identifications without any sort of provenance but the resemblance in this case appears to be stronger imho than most items I've seen on ebay. If it is in fact them, that would be quite a pickup!

My vote would be no. Only similarities (especially with Wright), are the beard styles.

I just couldn't find an image of Wright with that particular facial hair or with a hairline like that one. I also noticed that McVey's hairstyle is parted to the opposite side it was in the Warren cabinet. Could be a reversed image though.

I would need more proof. But like Leon, if I didn't pick it up it probably is Wright.

Neither Wright nor McVey is pictured. Sorry.

This time your wariness is well-founded.

That's a $2 tintype picturing four unidentified gentlemen.
