Both are 12-count baseball boxes (as opposed to those packaged in individual boxes). The bottom one held I believe ONL Frick baseballs. The top one I don't recall seeing before, and would be interested to hear what timeframe it was that metal reinforcing on the corners was used. Hopefully Brandon or other more knowledgeable individuals can expound further.

My guess 1950s.

Lance is correct on the Spalding box, could have been used from 1949-1951 holding Frick baseballs, and up to 1957 holding Giles baseballs. Usually there's a Presidential signature on them, did you check all of the sides for and Facsimile signatures?

There are not any League President signatures on the box, and the only thing on the blue box is shown.

Any info or when they used the metal on the corners?

Any info or when they used the metal on the corners?

I have a number of glove, football, basketball and volleyball boxes made by OK MFG Co. that feature the metal rivets on the corners - mine are all from the 1940's.
