Max, my only thought is that I would like to add it to my collection.

Some of those players actually look VERY familiar, especially the two in the back with the dark wavy hair. I will dig around a bit tonight and see what I can find for you.

I agree with Scott, its AWESOME!

Yes, one of them looks like Lip Pike.

Pike was with the St. Louis Brown Stockings in 1875. There is a resemblance though. Almost forgot to mention what a great image that photo has. Outstanding.

Max,

Curious if any clues can be derived from the hats? Can you tell what is on top? Looks like some kind of star ???

Great image!

Would not be surprised if the wavy hair guys might be brothers....love the person seated in front with ball in hand and how it is being held....maybe the pitcher??

Looks like the same tops as the 1868 Brooklyn Atlantics (http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/bidplace.aspx?itemid=21672)

Great image!

Although The "A" emblems are a little different in the two photo's , during the 1870's BB teams could have owned a extra set of uniforms, who had washing machines?

But man, check out those shoe's!!
