I found this somewhere on line, thought I'd post it and ask anyone why the backs advertisement was different from the pack design itself? Also, what is your favorite looking pack or packs?

My two favs are the American Beauty and the Cycle.

(Not sure if this has been addressed or not)

That picture is from Jon Canfield's tobacco site. It is the premier source of card related tobacco boxes and packaging. I like several of them including the Uzit and Drum, probably the most. But I could change my mind on any given day. Love the old packs...

Mark,

This is just a guess; however, I believe the back (some people contend that this is actually the front, and the player picture is the back...which I would be hard pressed to dispute) was intentionally set up to be a one color, one pass through the printing process proposition. This may help to answer your first question.

As for the second question...for what it's worth, I like the Old Mill pack artwork. It has a certain quality which reminds me of the T206 cards. The Cycle pack is also appealing to me.

Best,

Eric

What kind of prices would an unopened pack bring with proper tax stamps? Have any sold recently via auction?

You may check out Jon's page for T206 pack estimates (http://www.baseballandtobacco.com/t206.htm).
