Question about Dimmagio Bat

Hi guys. I picked up this bat on the weekend. After taking a closer look at it when I got home a few things didn't seem right. Thoughts?

They spelled "Gehrig" wrong.

Also, as I look at the photo now the "Louisville Slugger" looks really bad. When looking at it straight on it doesn't look like that.

My initial reaction was that someone enhanced the stampings with a pen.
