This Jimmy Collins signed index card is in the upcoming Huggins & Scott Auction. What do you think? Ron K's book states that there are good quality forgeries that often include the phrase "3rd Sacker".

Is this a forgery?

I'm still crawling when it comes to autographs but what I note about this auto is that the "e" in Very and the "e" in James is different than the "e" in Sacker. Does that mean anything? Don't know but makes me look closer.

So are lots of other things about "3rd sacker" different than the rest of the script, including pen used.

There are also 2 different types of "y" used (July/very/truly) at the end of words. Don't know if that means anything or not. And as Wayne said, "3rd sacker" is in a different pen for sure.

Agreed. The "Very Truly Yours" also looks slowly written. I'm writing this one off as a forgery.

I could see where the owner added "3rd Sacker" and the date....but the signature looks okay to me...

PSA used that same card as an example in this article back in 2003....
