I was just curious. I have been collecting boxing cards for about 5 years but still consider myself new at it. I see alot of threads on fake baseball cards from the early 1900s and it made me a little scared about the early 1900s boxing cards.

I really enjoy reading all the treads and reading on how alot of you telling the signs of fake baseball cards. Is it more common to fake the baseball over boxing?

Thanks for any info.

Since there is more demand for baseball, you're more likely to find fakes on the baseball side. With that said and with today's technology, anything can be susceptible to be faked, but I think for the most part, the forgers have stayed away from most boxing items.

I would definitely be extra careful with any of the most popular boxers though (Jack Johnson, John L., etc.) as they would be the candidates for the forgers when they venture into this territory....

Thanks scott. I read these threads on baseball cards and they talk about some cards looking fake. I only collect Attell cards in boxing. Glad to hear its a smaller chance on boxing.
