Need help identifying an autograph.

Could someone identify this baseball player for me? The only clue I can give is that he probably died at least 20 years ago. Thank you.

If one had an imagination, it could be a horrible fake of Billy martin, but hard to say what /who it is. :)

I'm thinking that is Larry French, pitcher from 1929-42. He passed away in 1987 which would fit the time frame you mentioned.

I checked listings on eBay and it looks like Larry French is correct! Thank you.
