I was checking out a Braves card of him a few days ago on ebay. In 1980, my parents and I were coming back from a Greek Food Fair in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh and I remember the announcer, Lanny Frattare, indicating Pascual Perez would be making his major league pitching debut for the Pirates, I believe Wednesday night of that week. I may be wrong about the day of the week.

Sad news. I remember when he got lost trying to find Fulton County Stadium. I believe it was his first day pitching there....

What about the 1982 Topps error "no position/position" card? That was huge money for a week back in 1987 or 1988....

Yes, believe he had a warm up jacket that had "I-285" on the back of it for the rest of the season.

Being famous & allegedly rich is not a good combo in a poor country
they were after his $2200 monthly baseball pension
they kept hitting him in the skull with a hammer
pretty ugly way to die
