Hi everyone:

Hope all are well, and everyone in the Northeast is prepared for the storm.

Just a reminder that the inaugural Love of the Game auction closes tonight. Extended bidding begins at 6:00 PM Eastern, and in order to bid on an item during the extended bidding period, you must have a bid on that lot before 6.

Link to Auction (https://loveofthegameauctions.com/catalog.aspx)

Lots of great prewar items in this auction, including cabinet photos of some of the American League's founding fathers (Ernest Barnard and Jimmy McAleer), lots of tough type cards, difficult T206 backs (including a Drum-backed Vic Willis and a blank-backed Harry Gaspar, along with Broadleaf 350, Carolina Brights, Hindu, and more).

Additionally, there are some pretty special prewar football cards including a gorgeous run of high-grade National Chicle high numbers (including a Bronko Nagurski in PSA 7), a few high grade 1949 Leafs, and some beautiful Bowmans.

If you're not registered, but would like to, please visit our registration page. (https://loveofthegameauctions.com/adduser.aspx)

Best of luck to everyone participating, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at info@loveofthegameauctions.com.

Thanks!
-Al

I'm proud to be both a consignor and active bidder in the auction. Hope it is profoundly successful, Al -- seems like there are a lot of great items in the auction.

Good luck, everyone!

Really great write-ups, Al. You could teach all the other auctioneers a thing or two. The '58 Topps Mossi is my favorite. "It's the ears (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/LotDetail.aspx?inventoryid=59&searchby=3&searchvalue=mossi&page=0&sortby=0&displayby=2&lotsperpage=25&category=1&seo=1958-Topps-%2335-Don-Mossi---PSA-NM-MT-8)." (Not my consignment, for those keeping score at home). Got my bids in and hope the power stays on in Jersey. Best of luck, buddy.

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for all the positive feedback, and for helping our first auction be such a great success for us. It has been an absolute blast.

For those wondering, I'm hoping to get to work on invoices later today and finish early Monday. I do have the small matter of Hurricane Sandy to take care of, however - being in New Jersey, it's going to hit us square in the jaw when it makes landfall, and I've been unable to spend much time preparing for it since I've been working so hard on the auction!

Once I've got my hatches battened, I'll be racing to get invoices out and packages shipped as quickly as possible, as the power is going to fail and they're suggesting it might be out for a week or more!

Everyone stay safe and dry, and thank you for participating in our inaugural auction!

Best,
-Al

Al,

Just keep the cards dry if you can.;) We understand that invoices, shipping, and communications may be delayed as a result of Sandy. Enjoyed participating in the inaugural. Hope that the Net54 crowd will not be a pest.
Right guys?
