Anyone have any ideas of what a Sears Professional Model Nellie Fox bat might be worth? Any information woudl be appreciated.

I'll take a stab at this one...

I would say around $10 or so. Not a whole lot for Sears models these days.

Heres an example of a store model bat but a Louisville. Yours would be less in value IMO.

Thanks Nate. There's one at an upcoming local auction and I was unsure.

No problem. I would at least go with a Hillerich store model as opposed to a Sears or any of the other off brand bats. Anything that is engraved instead of stamped would be ideal.

For some weird reason, all of our team's bats in 1973 were Nellie Fox signatures. When our catcher broke my Louisville Slugger Johnny Bench, I was forced to take my last swing in Babe Ruth league with a 34 Fox. It was a monster of a bat compared to the skinny-handled little Bench, which I paid $6 for brand new.

Funny Scott. Did you have a strange urge to bunt when using the Fox bat?

I was so small, and the bat so huge, that I choked WAY up. I was stunned when I hit a fastball to deep centerfield. Should have bunted.
