Another exciting playoff game tonight with Tigers winning 6-4

As much as I'd like to see the Yankees lose I was sorry to see Jeter fracture his ankle.

If the Yankees don't hit those two 9th inning homeruns, Derek Jeter is still playing. You never know.

Went to the game last night and was very disappointed. There is absolutely no excitement or enthusiasm in that stadium even during the first 2 innings when the Yankees loaded the bases. I'd say 30% of the stadium was empty through the 6th inning until walk-ups must have begun coming in. There are also simply too many high priced seats that no one can afford. Arod had 3 chances to make people "love" him following the previous days benching and failed miserably grounding out in the first with the bases loaded, grounding into a double play in the third and finally striking out with runners on second and third. He is so lost at the plate I'm surprised he can find his way from the dugout.

ARod is a shining example of why the Cards didn't sign Pujols in the off-season. Father time dictates that no one is worth that length of contract, for that money at that age. Now for sure the Yanks can afford the mistake, no one else can.

Just got home from today’s game and boy, the Yankees hitting is atrocious. Kuroda pitched a helluva game but the run support is pathetic...

One amazing thing is that in the last ten games of the regular season, Robinson Cano hit .615 with power and observers were saying they couldn't remember a hitter on such a torrid streak. A couple of weeks later and he's buried in an 0 for 26 slump. How could he lose his stroke so quickly and so dramatically?

Stress and exhauston? 5 playoff games in 5 days, 3 of which were 12 innings or more. I was tired just as an observer. I can't think of any other explanation.

The Yanks are down 0-2 with Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer coming up in ALCS game 3 and 4 at Comerica.

Need I say more? Go Tigers!

Not to say I believe in jinxes, but that post was as good of one I've seen in awhile.
