As someone who is working on a signed 1957 set, very impressive.Thanks MacDice...the Duke Maas is one of the nicest cards of my set along with the Dixie Howell and Jack Meyer cards.

What's the story behind Maas's signature being desirable?

From what I understand, Maas was not a prolific signer at all, and he also passed away quite young - in 1976. I believe he is considered the key to the '61 set. Cut signatures usually bring $300-$500. Signed cards, more.
