A new documentary featuring the San Diego Padres of the PCL debuts Monday night, Oct. 8 in the San Diego area on KPBS at 9:00 p.m..

The film was shown last week at the annual Film Festival at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. While I did not attend it drew great reviews. The film is 90 minutes and contains still photos and film footage from the teams days in the old PCL.

I was told by the film maker that it will available on DVD in the near future for those that don't live in the area. Should be great fun for Ted Williams fans.

Tony Perez was there briefly in the early-mid '60's as well....... I believe also Bobby Doerr in the mid-1930's

Rollie Fingers in the mid-60s, shut down the Arkansas Travelers one year in the PCL Finals.
