Introduction

New member here.
As my id indicates, my name is Bruce. Like most here I collected bb cards as a kid from 1959-1964. What I didn't destroy I gave away. When my son became interested in the hobby in 1988 I once again got into it, buying cards from the early 60's. I gave most to him.

When the bottom of the market in the 80's we put ours up, not really looking at them until recently.

My son talked to me last week explaining PSA and other graders. I'm amazed at the prices of mint and gem mint cards from the 60's.

Now that I've retired I have some extra time and money to spend on the "hobby".

It looks like I've found a great forum here. I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge.

Welcome Bruce. Obviously I am biased but I think our little forum is one of the best places on the internet to be among folks of a like nature. Now that being said, you said something about a place to spend money :). I think that would be an understatement. Most folks can spend as much as their budget will let them....and then some. I live from payday to payday and card deal to card deal....but it's a lot of fun. Happy collecting and don't be shy.....(btw, a lot of us collected in the 60s and 70s, as kids, myself included)....LL
