1930s Jim Braddock restaurant PC. I have my own opinion but I am curious what others think:

Without getting into authenticity questions, looks like Tommy Farr and Joe Louis.

LOL! It does look like a half-hearted attempt at a "Joe Louis" scrawl though.

Dave, your guess is as good as mine. He seemed to write in half print and half cursive sometimes. Might even be "To James" or "Go James".

Tommy Farr; that was who I was thinking. Looks to me like he wrote "Joe Louis" under it.
