I stand by what I said (You should study this Ruth carefully against known real signatures) and have no desire to engage in a urinating contest as many of these threads turn out to be. I believe it is not authentic and that is my opinion. You're entitled to yours.

Same ball, different seller? Auction referenced above is gone.

Your opinion on the autograph is one thing. I think the problem here is you compared it to an auction, that most everyone on here believe to be crooks. This seller has some amazing items that are authenticated by psa or jsa. To compare them, through it, to CC is just not accurate IMO.

I was originally able to see it. Now I can't. I can see the link I posted, which is the exact same thing, only a different seller.

Well, I'm not a Ruth expert, but I have seen a ton of them from CC and this looks much better than those. I also don't think Chris would say it was good if he wasn't pretty darn sure, and I've dealt with Kent Sessions a few times and he's an excellent seller. I guess that's just MY opinion.

By the way, I did do a lot of research on Bing Crosby for my Pirates project and the one on the Ruth ball looks good as well.

Sooo...... what does everyone think about this one? There are many self proclaimed autograph experts on this board. I would love to hear their thoughts.

This ball has sold to one of my local (Houston) customers, who you might find it hard to believe, but has bought over 50 Ruth PSA and JSA balls from me in the last two years. I have sold 100s of Babe Ruth signed balls all with JSA and PSA over the last 6 years. The second listing on ebay was just someone taking my pic and listing a bogus auction. I do not think anyone is 100% on authentication, but I know when we submit, 99% ++ passes and all my items are certed by PSA and JSA. Between Jimmy and Grad looking at these, after we have already decided to submit them, I feel you have better than a great chance that every item I sell is real. My ksports1966 username has the most vintage autographs on ebay, all JSA and PSA/DNA. Thanks, Kent Sessions

Hello everyone...I am new to this boards but have reading for a while. Lots of great contributors.

I wanted the resident autograph collectors to give me their opinion on the Babe Ruth Ball. I know that there is an AAU (Drew Max) COA...and we know his skills have been questioned...to be polite. But ball looks interesting, but I know nothing about autographs.

Would like to hear some opinions from people who are more knowledgeable. Thanks

I vote negative on the Ruth from AAU.
