View Full Version : Doc White....a multi-talented guy....let's see his cards and any other stuff

Guy Harris White was a Dentist, he sang and played the piano for his church choir, and even composed several songs. Also, Doc did some vaudeville.

In 1904, he established a new record by pitching 5 consecutive Shutout games. This record stood for 64 years until Don Drysdale equalled it June 3,
1968. That evening, Doc White sent a telegram to Don Drysdale congratulating him.

My dad knew Doc White from George Barr's Umpire School in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1939. This is a picture of Doc White from that time.
