Many of these sellers auctions are on the most watched list in publications. The prices for some of the publications are crazy high and the number of bids is also very high. The weird thing is that many of these items can be purchased in better condition at much lower pricing using Buy It Now.

Anybody else think this is strange?

Very strange indeed. Every item has almost 30+ bids! Some of those individual cards don't even look NM yet they're going for lofty prices.

There is some crazy bidding going on though. Another featured seller in this promotion has a Lou Brock UDA baseball at $80 already with 3 days to go. I bought one buy it now with HOF 85 inscription and in better shape for half that while this auction was running.

What kind of promotion? Free listing? That wouldn't explain stupid high bids, which MANY of those are on the first page alone

I call it frenzy bidding!!!! People will overpay for cards, autographs, etc., just to be a part of the frenzy.

All I can say is Mill Creek Sports is a well known dealer, represented well known Mariners players like Alex Rodriguez and Ken Griffey Jr, and have a brick and mortar store in the Seattle area. They may be able to promote their stuff well, perhaps in their store. Just a thought.

I've never dealt with them, but know their their Mariners game used COA is highly regarded in the game used hobby.

I was surprised my item ended at near double the one with inscription. I also had Four cards, Two Marino Rookies, Two Elway rookies one lot end for over $150.... I would have likely sold these cards for $60 locally. I had a 74 Baltimore pack end for $90 more than the four previous sales, and several items get nearly 50-80% premium over what I was even asking at shows.

Anyway... Good reasons to use that seller - I got more imo doing no work than if I had listed and shipped each myself.
