All, I feel like a wonderfully incompetent ass for missing this auction. I'm hoping maybe someone on the board won the item, knows the winner, etc etc...

If anyone can get me in touch with the winner, or them in touch with me, I'd be willing to double the winning auction price, and pay a 10% finders fee to the person that can facilitate...

Thanks
Joe

that card is not a 5k card, but if you contact legendary they probably would gladly put you in touch with the winner...and take your 10%?

It's not a $5k card to you... And I'm glad, if it was, I might even have to pay more. And to be fair, I said double, which is $4600 :)

judging by the auction it's not a 5k card to a bunch of other people, but it's your money so none of my business. i was thinking the 10% was for the $4600, not $2300. don't go cheap now...

Well sure, the 10% would be on the final agreed price... But you wouldn't count a finders fee into the card value...

Also, the auction might have only needed one more bidder to go higher...obviously, that's the nature of every auction. Had I seen it from the start, the price would've been higher, and thusly your argument would be then that my price is closer to justified...logically.

yes, because the card's value is nowhere near $4600, or $5000. just because you want to pay stoopid price for it doesn't mean it's worth that much.

the card has come up before, in better condition and sold for less what you're willing to pay. i had an early bid and was watching it, but dropped out after it went over $1800.

if you contact legendary i'm sure the winner will gladly sell it to you...thus you'll only be paying $4600 instead of another 10% finder's fee (i saved you some money). anyway i'm done with discussing the card's value, was just pointing out the logical thing to do would be contacting legendary, instead of posting on the board and hoping.

Didn't think that maybe I've done both? Just to cover all possible basis?
