Super work Scot :) I saw it posted last night and have read through it a couple times and played with calcs. It does seem to be more representative of prices seen the past year or so.

A question: For the baseline P350 where you had values of PSA/SGC 3 = $40, 4 = $60, 5 = $100, what were the correlation coefficients (R-Squared)?

Best Regards
Craig

Craig,
Will have to go back to the data for r squared. I can tell you that n was pretty large for P350.

great article Scot! extremely informative.

i hope you don't mind, but i wanted to mention, it seems like you have missed some recent sales for the ultra rare backs. there were something like 5-6 BL 460's that sold recently. (which as we all know is extremely rare to occur all at once). about 4 on ebay, one in Heritage, one in Goodwin (i believe), all sold since that one sale you referenced in January. same goes for Drum. i think there were multiple recent sales (REA, Goodwin, Heritage). i only say this, thinking this could further inform your data in that area.

p.s. if you are unaware of these sales, i'd be more then willing to help you research those sales numbers. shoot me a PM.

Mike,

I based the multipliers on PSA/SGC 3 sales, although I looked at 4 and 5 sales to confirm the multipliers were broadly reasonable. If the recent BL460 sales you are referring to were in different grade, they would not have affected the results.

Great work Scot thank you for your time and effort. I have already
printed this and put in a binder along with many other informative
articles that you, Tim and others have done.

Thanks Scot. What you said makes sense, thanks for clarifying. I think the grades of the recent BL 460 sales were in the SGC 1,2,3 range, anywhere from $3k to $15k, with most in the $5k-$10k range. Just wasn't sure if you saw those recent sales. Congrats on an amazing article!
