This E121-80 "Babe" Ruth was recently listed on ebay here: Link (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1921-Babe-Ruth-American-1-Caramel-Company-Baseball-star-card-/180871908475). I've attached an image from the auction. No back scan was given.
The auction ended early since I'm assuming that the seller sold it offline. However, I am still curious to see if the card was genuine. The color of the card looked strange and faded, but I wanted to know if there are any other determining characteristics that others can see from the picture to determine if the card is real or not? I don't believe the E121-80 series is heavily reprinted. However, obviously, any card of value is very likely to have fakes, especially Ruth's of this value.
