Hello all,
I would like to add a Pirates cap from the Red Man mail-in promotion to my collection. I am curious to know how difficult this will be to find, and what I can expect to pay if I do track one down.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Really cool caps

Found these pics from a Huggins/ Scott auction from 2008

Description
From 1952-1955, the Red Man Chewing Tobacco Company offered free major league baseball caps to anyone who sent in 50 tabs from the trading cards that accompanied their tobacco product. Offered are ten 1950s Red Man baseball caps of teams from both the American and National Leagues. These crisp wool hats come in a variety of sizes, with mostly firm, uncracked bills and an appearance as if they had just left the factory. The faux leather underlining is inscribed in gold lettering “Redman Baseball Cap” with the respective tag sizes attached. Each of the linings reveals varying degrees of cracking, none of which adversely affects the display quality. Included teams are American League: Baltimore (large), Boston (large), Chicago (large), Cleveland (medium) Detroit (large); National League: Brooklyn (large), Milwaukee (large), Philadelphia (large), Pittsburgh (large) and St. Louis (large). These never-before-worn pieces of vintage baseball apparel are perfect for fans of this famed series.

Thanks for posting that Bob. I think this is going to be a "back burner" quest for me. They don't seem to pop up very often.

Man, I wanted one of those caps back in '52, but the old man apparently couldn't chew RedMan fast enough to get me fifty tabs. I forgive him though and am happy now that he didn't contract mouth cancer.

they come up occasionally, often in the wrong category or not listed correctly.
I've picked up Brooklyn, Phillies and Yankees in nice shape in the $50-$125 range each. Keep searching and you'll find them.
