I have been trying to post scans of the cards I have for the BST and it keeps coming up as an error. They are in jpeg format and I have not ever had any issues before. Anyone else having an issue posting scans??

I have posted scans today and I am not aware of any board issues in this area. The names of your scans can't be anything weird, with any kind of exclamations, hyphens or spaces. Only the period between the name and the letters "jpg". Also if they are too large they sometimes won't work. Most times the board will resize them automatically to fit. What does it do when you try?

Just a side note, try imgur.com, very easy to use.

upload the pic, click on it and copy the web address
in your post, click the little yellow mountain/picture icon and paste the address in.

I will try this. Sounds like thats how you get captions between pics right? Like I see some times on the bst

Your scans you sent me were approximately 20x - 60x too big. They are around 3mb - 5mb each and should be approximately 75k each. If they were any where close the system would resize them automatically. Yours are so big it freaks the system out. It takes approximately 30 seconds to resize a scan...You can do it by right clicking on the file, opening it with paint, and then using the resize option. If you need help let me know but I am pretty sure (not 100% but pretty sure) that is the issue.

I had this same issue a few days ago. I have always posted scans in exactly the same way and they were automatically resized to fit, but for some reason, it didn't work this time. I had to resize them myself and they finally worked but the exact same thing that Andrew is reporting happened to me as well.

I was having the same issue a few days ago also, but just tested by attempting to upload this 1.2 MB photo, and it did fine.

(Thank you, Mears :))

Had many issues yesterday. Some loaded, some didn't. As far as I could tell they were all the same size (too large) but some worked while others didn't.

Well I guess I am not sure what the issues are. I think, but could be incorrect, that if you try scans that are over a certain size (more than 1-2 MB) then the system can't resize them on it's own. I know the ones that Andrew sent me were from 3mb to 5mb each. If anyone is having more troubles and your jpgs (scans) are less than 1mb please let me know. Also, to reiterate, names of the scans shouldn't have any spaces or underscores or anything other than letters/numbers. I know that funky scan names are a problem....but something like tycobb.jpg or basebball.jpg shouldn't be. thanks

edited to add....cool photo Scott.....

I just tried to upload a few scans that were ~300kb

System kicked those back instead of resizing as well

Hi Phil
If I can duplicate the error I can try to find the issue. This scan was 459kb and uploaded perfectly from my computer in "my documents". Can you give anymore details of your scan that won't load? Is it a .jpg file, where is it located and what is the exact name of the file? Like I say, this one resized and took approximately 10 seconds to upload....no problems. And I should add that I use the function at the bottom of the post, "manage attachments" as the place I upload them too.

I rescanned the cards the same way I had before and tried to upload again. Worked just fine this time. I didn't post them because those were sold. It's kinda weird they wouldn't post before but same everything again and they uploaded fine. May just be a small glitch.
