Does wikipedia have the wrong picture of this player in its entry? The one Dan Mckee has currently in auction is the correct version, right (no, he didn't pay me to ask this question)?

Goodwin mislabeled the card in question by associating the player with the wrong team. The player pictured is Clarence "Kid" Baldwin.

Less than it would have been before REA came up with a much better copy of the same pose in one of their Old Judge lots.

2250.00...Not everyone wants to buy the entire lot for one card..REA...Dan's Baldwin is solid and kind of rare.

What makes this card so valuable? I never know with Old Judges.

As Kevin pointed out, Wiki incorrectly chose a Kid Baldwin error card for Lady. Goodwin & Co. correctly issued that same pose in 1888 (Cincy catcher) but mixed up the 1889 re-issue (Detroit pitcher).

Lady Baldwin is a tougher OJ and I'm sure those who would like to add a copy are excited over the two examples currently being offered. As many of you know, I track Detroit 19th century cards closely. I initially thought the REA example was the same high grade card that changed hands a couple times between 2004 and 2006, but it is in fact a different card that is new to me. I hope more and more copies keep coming (of all his poses).

I predict a strong price for the eBay Baldwin, it is a nice card.
