That's what Babe's handwriting would look like if he were still alive today.

They are not selling it as a real Babe Ruth autographed ball. It is a Bobby Brown ball.

If you look at their past auctions you may not see it the same Dave. They once sold an "authentic" 1996 World Series ball signed by Mantle who died in 1995. They are not clearly stating that it is not a Ruth signature let's put it that way.

here is what the auction headline reads:
"Rawlings Official Ball American League Bobby Brown President With "Babe Ruth" Signature"

sounds like they are selling it as a Babe Ruth ball to me.

the signature is so bad not even one of the scum would authenticate it.

here is what is in the instructions:
"BIDDER AGREES THAT EVERYTHING IS SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS AND THAT NOTHING WILL BE RETURNED OR REFUNDED."

Richard I agree and besides I would not want that stupid thing in my catalog no matter what the description is. I know these guys personally and I am trying to refrain myself from contacting them about their autos. They have a very powerful following and could cause me heavy damage to my own business, but I am sick of seeing this garbage in my neighborhood. I bust my but to have a 5K sale and make a few bucks and they have 10K plus and make money in bunches simply because forgeries do not cost much. I feel very sorry for the folks who are not autograph buffs who are getting hammered by these jerks and their fakes.

I am still waiting to see an authentically single signed WS ball of any year.

Well, I emailed them, so we'll see.

So did I but considering what James Wymer said I don't know what will happen.

Well, you two guys have a business and a rep w autographs, so hopefully he'll just answer me...

When I saw it, I thought it HAD to be a joke, esp once it was on a Brown Ball. I actually had a guy walk into a show years back in CT w a J. Robby signed ball on a BOBBY BROWN..ha. He nearly killed me when I told him to get away and it was a fake.

If the signature was on a Spalding ball, they could maybe sell it as a prop from Sand Lot. No, those kids faked it better.

Richard you surely have nothing to worry about with this guy. I know him from auctions and we also became auctioneers passing the test on the same day. I have known them for years. The problem is that as far as live bidders go we know many of the same people. I like the guy as a person, but I certainly think he should check his ethics. Strange last statement I know.
