Jack Quinn holds the record for oldest player to win a major league game at 49 years 2 months. This record might fall with the announcement that Jamie Moyer has made the Rockies roster as their #2 starter. Not a sure thing for Moyer to win a game but good for him. So, show those Quinn cards and a tip of the "old" cap to Moyer.

Jack Quinn is the only guy to qppear in both the T206 set and 1933 Goudey set as an active Major Leaguer.
Is that longevity, or what ?

I know I've mentioned this before, but it still amazes me: Jack Quinn and Bobby Doerr were on the same PCL team in 1934 (Hollywood Stars). Jack Quinn was 51, Bobby Doerr 16. Bobby Doerr wil be 94 on Saturday, April 7th. Now that's real longevity for you!!

Move on over Jack...Jamie Moyer now holds the all time record for oldest pitcher to win a major league game. Congrats Jamie!

Jamie Moyer is the only player left in Major League Baseball who is older than me, and he's a full 4 1/2 years older than I am. On September 5, 1987 every player in the major leagues was older than me.

Congrats to Jamie Moyer! He still makes me feel young. :D

Dan, if it makes you feel any better, those guys from 1987 are still older then you.:)

I can't imagine still playing baseball as Moyer who is 49 1/2, and debuted in majors 1986, is. I am about 3/4 a yr older and started playing senior softball this year!! I am being taunted to get me AARP card :). I feel young in that league but can't imagine playing in a baseball, regular fast pitch league, with 20-30 yr olds. Those kids would eat my lunch. As a side note the pitcher against Moyer last night, Anthony Bass (24 yrs old), wasn't even born when Moyer was already in the majors.

Did not know this...incredible!

Congrats to Moyer...aside from Moyer and Omar Vizquel, are than any other guys still playing today who appeared in the '80's?
