I cannot seem to locate the thread discussing the increase from 50 to 75 PM's in each user profile inbox. That was a positive change indeed, but of course the ceiling only allowed me a bit of time...it didn't cure the fact that my PM box is always running near the limit.
If it is possible to increase the capacity even higher I promise to hold more messages in my box...really I will !:o

Alternatively, maybe there is a way to archive/zip older PMs that you kinda want to save and have them count as less toward your cap.

How many of you struggle with a bulging inbox?
Mine isn't because I am dashingly popular but because I CRS ( can't remember $h1t) and I often want to refer back to those messages.

If you have any good ideas about PM storage increases, message management or other commiserations on my CRS disease, please post here and don't PM me!

PS-
PM's still accepted/encouraged for C46 cards, all E-9x cards, T205, E210, 60's Topps high numbers:p

Right now the limit is 75. I can look into raising it. I don't sell a lot but probably get more PMs than most. Whenever mine fills up I just go through and delete some. I am not really having any issues but maybe others are... Anyone else bumping their limits often ......and/or having issues with PMs? thanks

I'd like to keep more on file. But I also like to keep the sent ones as well which basically halves the number of correspondences. I like to have both halves of the conversation because sometimes I will send a response and not receive one. Then I know what I said when, etc.

But, if there is an outside solution to saving the messages, I'd be open to that as well.

First off, totally love the site. Love the different categories, love the b/s/t,love having to post your name to shoot your mouth and generally just love this site.

My least lovable part of the site is my inbox. I wish I could also see sent messgaes and could store many more pms. Im lazy at keeping track of certain things and it would be so easy to save the pms of members I sold cards too and another I bought from. I save them in my hotmail, but they all read Net54baseball.com Forums and are difficult to navigate thru. Im also not educated in technology and maybe am missing something. By no means is this a complaint, as I love the sight.

Agreed on all points. I just increased the PM storage to 100 per user. I reserve the right to go back to 75 if something freaks out but I don't think it will. There were 3 users who had 75 PMs in their in boxes. As for other PM features I think there is a way to make different storage in boxes yourself. I know the PM'ing isn't that great but it's better than what we had with the old software. best regards

I've had the same problem for years [and I've only been a member for two and a half years], to the point where I request in my threads, "No pm's, please, as my box is always nearly full."
Raising the limit to 100 will help, but ultimately it won't solve the problem; it would be ideal if we could somehow archive our pm's.
I realize, however, if this were easy to do that Leon probably would've already done it.

OK...I think ya'll can do this too so please give it a try. I just made a test folder in my own PM space. I then selected the last 20 messages, by doing the little check mark on the right side of the PMs....then at the bottom of that section I went to the pull down menu and one option was "move". I then moved all of those checked PMs to my test folder and it worked. Now I have stored messages in a folder, they came out of my inbox and I can name that folder whatever I want to... and still have my in box...check it out and let me know. There is a small chance only I can do that...but I think everyone can...LMK and thanks!!

Alright Leon, I figured it out and I must be close to the bottom standard on here for figuring these things out. Idea: be able to change the bottom scroll "move to folder" to be able to select the different folders there and eliminate the additional step f having to select a folder in the next option and avoid a very minor complication. Now make it unlimited pm storage and we can all be as lazy as we want and not have Leon to blame anymore

Thanks Leon!

kewl....however, I am probably not on the "unlimited" bandwagon :). Lets see how this new and improved extra folders and storage of PMs goes and we can go from there. Hopefully those improvements will make it where folks don't have as many issues with the PMs.....

and btw, someone mentioned our Community tab in the little dark blue strip across the mid-top of the pages. I hope everyone will check out all of the great collections our members have in the album section. It is super easy to upload scans and is free and permanent. I have almost a hundred but I know another member that has several hundred scans of his cards......best regards

Certainly helps. Thanks for the tip.

You cannot, however, do this with "Sent" messages. Only with ones from your inbox. Oh well, can't have everything. Being able to store the inbox messages is very helpful.
