I also thought something was a little strange about the ball. The Cobb just doesn't seem right to me. Has anyone seen him sign Tyrus on anything besides checks?

I am no expert, but I could have sworn that Cobb typically signed one of the panels & not the sweet spot... This could however be a case where TY and the Babe were at some type of an event together & Ty opted for the Sweet spot to piss the Bambino off!!!

All the authentic Tyrus R Cobb sigs I have seen have been on checks.
When I have seen that sig on something other than a check it has been questionable.
The forgers use a check as the model for their work and they don't have a clue that he did not sign that way on other things.
Not saying this is a forgery but would want to inspect it before coming to any conclusion.
This Hunt lot has no COA from the alphabet boys.
Wondering why?

hunt do their own authenticating...most of their stuff don't have psa/jsa coas. they do give you 60 days and they go with jsa if there's a dispute.

How is it all the other signatures have almost completely disappeared with fading and the Ruth and Cobb are still dark?

Come on Steve, must you be such a skeptic? :D:D.

That's good to know Chad, thanks. I've bought from Hunt a couple of times and other than the one hiccup where they added an hour to the auction clock because some lots inadvertently closed early, I've been pretty happy with them. David emailed me personally after that fiasco and I gave his house another shot and I've been a winning bidder in two of the last three monthly auctions.
